As Chief of Police I am extremely proud of the men and women of the Whitman Police Department. We are dedicated to reducing crime and providing for the safety of our citizens and visitors. The Whitman Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency committed to a safe and secure community through service, mutual cooperation and respect. Our goal is to provide the highest level of public safety and service to Whitman’s residents, visitors and the community at large.
The members of your police department are chosen based on their strong ethics and a demonstrated desire to make a positive difference. We currently have a staff of twenty-six full-time officers, twenty auxiliary officers, ten crossing guards and two regional animal control officers. I welcome any comments you may have on your interactions with our staff.
