2016 Dog Licenses
Due by August 31, 2016
Dog licenses are now available in the Town Clerk’s office.
The fee for male/female is $8.00. The fee for neutered/spayed is $5.00. Senior rate is free (seniors must still license annually).
A certificate of a registered veterinarian that the dog has been spayed or neutered must be shown to the Town Clerk the first time the dog is licensed. Proof that the dog has been vaccinated against rabies must also be shown.
Licenses May be purchased in the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours - Mon.,Weds.,Thurs. 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Closed on Fridays
You May purchase you dog license on-line by visiting www.Whitman-ma.gov and selecting on-line payments and then follow the prompts. Please note additional fee do apply when purchasing on-line.
Residents May also mail for dog licenses by enclosing a check made out to the town of Whitman for the proper amount, and by sending proof of rabies vaccination certificate. Mail to Town Clerk, p.o. Box 426, Whitman, MA 02382. Checks will be returned if the rabies vaccination certificate is not up to date. Please call the Town Clerk at 781-618-9710 with any questions.
Town by-laws require that all dogs, six months of age or older, be licensed by August 31st of each year. As of Sept. 1st of each year, a $25.00 late fee will be imposed.
