The Department of Public Works would like to inform Residents that on Friday May 3, 2019
We will be placing traffic safety barrels at the intersection of Washington Street and Beulah Street.
These barrels will be placed in what will be the new Traffic island configuration for this intersection in advance of construction which will begin on May 6, 2019.
This project is designed to make this intersection safer and more user friendly by increasing visibility when entering Washington Street from Beulah and slowing down traffic as they enter Beulah from Washington which will now require a 90 degree turn rather than the old “off ramp” style.
This Island reconfiguration is also part of a resurfacing project for Beulah Street extending to West Street.
We expect this project to be completed before the end of June and would ask that Residents use caution or avoid using Beulah Street if possible during construction.
We thank you in advance for your patience and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to call the Department of Public Works Office at 781-447-7630.
