Voter Registration for the Presidential Primary

Town Clerk Dawn Varley announces that the last day to register to vote or change political party is Wednesday, February 12, 2020

By 8:00 p.m. For the Presidential Primary Election to be held on March 3rd, 2020.

A person must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of the town and a citizen of the United States by birth or naturalization.  Voters that have moved within Whitman are urged to change their voting address in writing.

If you are registered as a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or Green Rainbow voter, that will be the only ballot you will be given.  If you are an Unenrolled (Independent)  voter, you May choose any of the four ballots and will then automatically be returned to your unenrolled status.

Voter registration is also held daily in the Town Clerk’s office.  Mail-in registration forms are also available.  Mail in forms must be postmarked by February 12, 2020 to be included on the voting list for this Election. You can Register  online at

All voters will vote at the town hall, 54 South Avenue.  The polls for Election will be open from 7:00 a.m. Until 8:00 p.m.
