[ARCHIVED] Household Hazardous Waste Collection

South Shore Recycling Cooperative (SSRC) towns will host five household hazardous waste collections this spring.
Registration is required, to reduce wait times.  The addresses of the events are revealed on the registration form here.
All will take place from 9 am to 1 pm as follows:

4/10 Weymouth NO LATEX PAINT
4/17 Plymouth NO LATEX PAINT
5/1   Hanover & Pembroke *
5/15  Hingham  NO LATEX PAINT
6/19  Scituate & Cohasset NO LATEX PAINT
* Usable latex paint accepted at Hanover collection ONLY. Please sort it from your hazardous material. It will be recycled into Recolor Paint.  Otherwise, PLEASE don't bring it. It's messy but not hazardous. We will send it home with you. It may be absorbed and disposed with regular trash.

Residents of host and co-host towns may attend their own town's collection at no charge, with proof of residency (driver's license, car registration, utility or tax bill, transfer station/recycling center sticker).
SSRC Member town residents may also attend out of town events; some will need an Authorization Form from their DPW and/or to bring a check. Details are on the registration form, and also here.

Commercial generators: call 508.479.3358 (ACV Enviro) to ensure that your material can be accepted and arrange payment.
