Over the past month, detectives assigned to the W.E.B. Task Force and the Plymouth County Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit have been investigating claims that two men were in partnership selling Fentanyl in and around Brockton and the surrounding communities.

Throughout the course of this investigation detectives developed probable cause that two individuals, later identified as MIRANDA and DIEUDONNE, were arranging narcotics sales from the confines of their residences.

Upon developing probable cause that both MIRANDA and DIEUDONNE were involved in narcotics distribution, W.E.B. detectives and Massachusetts State Police applied for and were granted two search warrants, one for each residence.

At approximately 6:05 a.m. Friday, April 16, detectives from the W.E.B. Task Force and the Plymouth County Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit executed the two search warrants at both 119 Maple Ave. in Bridgewater and 384 Oak St. in Bridgewater.

At the completion of the search warrants, detectives seized various amounts of narcotics, a firearm having a large capacity magazine, ammunition and miscellaneous handgun components from both locations.

"These arrests were the result of a lengthy investigation that took place with the cooperation and collaboration of multiple state and local agencies," East Bridgewater Police Chief Paul O'Brien said. "Through thorough and efficient police work we were able to assist in getting a significant amount of drugs and dangerous weapons off of our streets, and I commend each and every officer who was involved in making these arrests."

In total, the following was seized:

  • Approximately 11.5 grams of Fentanyl
  • Approximately 1 gram of Crack Cocaine
  • 3 pills (5 milligrams Oxycodone)
  • A large amount of Suboxone
  • Approximately $11,000 in U.S. currency
  • One loaded 9mm handgun
  • Multiple large capacity magazines
  • Handgun assembly parts
  • Several rounds of live ammunition
  • Numerous individual packages of marijuana

The W.E.B. Task Force is a collaborative effort of five agencies along with a partnership with the Plymouth County Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, proactively investigating narcotics crimes and other major crimes that plague our communities. Agencies include the Whitman, West Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, Bridgewater and Bridgewater State University Police Departments.

Both MIRANDA and DIEUDONNE were arraigned today in Brockton District Court.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
