[ARCHIVED] Household Hazardous Waste Collection Spring 2015

Whitman is a member of the South Shore Recycling Cooperative. Whitman's Household Hazardous Waste Collection will be held in the fall and this year Abington will be the host. The Board encourages all residents with hazardous waste to participate in the fall event, however if you have hazardous waste you need to dispose of before the Whitman/Abington event, the Board has limited funds to allow residents to visit another town's collection day. The Board of Health will cover the cost of 15 gallons of liquid or 30 pounds of solid material. If you choose to bring more product than allowed that additional cost will be charged to you on the day of the event at a cost of $45.00 per additional load. Permission MUST be obtained from the Whitman Board of Health prior to the event. Proof of residency is required to obtain the "Visitor Authorization Form" from the office. Please call the office with any questions at 781-618-9755. Office hours are Monday and Tuesday 9 to 4 and Thursday 9-3.
