How do I obtain a birth, marriage, or death certificate?
Vital records are on file in the community where the event occurred and also in the community where residency was listed on the day of the event. Whitman’s vital records are from 1875 to the present time. Certified long form copies are $5 each. They can be requested over the counter or by mailing a $5 check made out to the Town of Whitman, please enclose a self addressed stamped envelope to:
